the 1960s Plane Lands Safely With Kennedy Aide ALAMEDA Calif June 8 (UPD A DC6 transport carrying the commander of the US Pacific leet and President naval aide to Honolulu limped safely back to the Alameda Naval Air Station Saturday morning af ter its No 4 engine caught fire over the Pacific 700 miles west of Los Angeles A spokesman said the fire was quickly extinguished He said the return flight was uneventful and the plane made a safe landing Adm John Sides Pacific leet commander and Capt Taz well Shepard the na val aide were among the 28 pas sengers on the plane that had parted from
