QOL - Cleaning the Auction House (2024)

Auction is a mess, voodoo doll is in consumables because it's a pufferfish, combat exp boost is in weapons because it's a sword, it's categorizing based on the base item, with the exception of accessories, it's in need of a cleanup, with plenty of items that need to transfer to the bazaar.

The Auction House Categories are as follows, they follow with sub categories too:

• Weapons
  • Melee - sword and longswords
  • Ranged - bows and shortbows
  • Magic - wands and deployables
  • Misc - uncategorized weapons, such as voodoo doll, snow blaster and pumpkin launcher
• Armor
  • Armor (helmet/chestplate/leggings/boots)
  • Helmet
  • Chestplate
  • Leggings
  • Boots
  • Equipment (necklace/cloak/belt/gloves)
  • Necklace
  • Cloak
  • Belt
  • Gloves
• Tools
  • Farming - hoes, certain axes and vacuums
  • Mining - pickaxes, drills and shovels
  • Foraging - certain axes (and future foraging tools if they will exist in the foraging update)
  • Fishing - fishing rods
  • Misc - tools with no category (such as ancestral spade, atominizer/charminizer, block zapper, etc...)
• Accessories - all accessories, no sub categories
• Pets - all pets, no sub categories
• Consumables - for consumables that aren't sold on the bazaar
• Materials - for materials that don't appear in the bazaar (such as necron's handle and divan's alloy)
• Private Island
  • Blocks (such as haste block, teleport pad, launch pad, beacon and placeable heads)
  • Decorations (for decorations, such as placeable fairy soul, training dummy, basic/event furniture)
  • Minions (just the minions, easy)
  • Modifiers (items consumed into settings, such as ice cube, day/night saver and biome sticks)
• Skins
  • Minion Skins
  • Garden Skins
  • Armor Skins (probably mainly helmets lol)
  • Item Skins (such as power orbs and backpacks)
• Legacy and glitched items (for discontinued and glitched items such as lost bottles of jyrre and nulls)

The following items should be in the bazaar (bold text means a group of items):

• Attribute Shards - Modifiers > Attributes

• Biofuel - Fuels
• Brews - Consumables > Potion items

Now for the final touch, plenty of items will no longer be auctionable, these items are the basic of the basic types of items, such as building blocks from the builder, vanilla dyes and flowers.

Edit: Added "materials" section to the auction house, for materials that don't appear in the bazaar, this will include items such as necron's handle, or any material that I didn't think of adding the bazaar.

yeah, but what i am not sure about is also that there's some "rare drops" in the bazaar already, like wither scrolls and wriggling larva, yet the auction house still has necron's blade and chirping stereo, i'm not sure if there's really a certain threshold that needs to be held for what to be sold on the bazaar or auction house
