Helldivers 2 Player Count Has Plummeted
Helldivers 2, Sony's well-received co-op third-person shooter, player count charts plummet several months after its release.
The latest Helldivers 2 leak from IronS1ght has revealed the model of a new enemy, the Bile Charger, which looks like a fusion of a Bile Titan and a Charger. This Terminid enemy is a four-legged bug with an abdomen filled with acidic liquid. It bears a striking resemblance to Helldivers 2's standard charger, with its head covered under its armored skin. Since the Bile Charger is a fusion of two bugs, players can expect it to have versatile skills.
Helldivers 2 Will Allegedly Introduce A New Enemy
According to the leaker, the Bile Charger causes an acid explosion upon death, which probably deals AoE damage. Information about its skills is scarce, but Helldivers 2 players can expect this nasty bug to be heavily armored, spawn more often than Bile Titans, and have a charge attack dealing a lot of damage. Its armor will likely nullify the damage from regular bullets, so players will have to use specific stratagems like the Expenedable Anti-Tank or Recoilless Rifle.
The Bile Charger will be a part of Helldivers 2's Terminid faction, which consists of giant bug-like creatures. It's one of the two main factions players must defeat to save planets. Enemies that belong to the Terminid army utilize unique attacks, like shooting acid at players from a distance or going invisible to get up close and personal. Some, like the Charger, feature bodies that are covered in thick armor, which can make them frustrating to deal with. However, like Automaton enemies in Helldivers 2, these creatures have weak spots players can exploit to dish out a greater amount of damage.
In addition to the Bile Charger, Helldivers 2 will reportedly introduce the Illuminate faction, which appear to be aquatic creatures with long arms and legs. It's been speculated that their abilities and tech will be different from the first game, utilizing various weapons, including axes and staff, to perform unique attacks. Currently, there is no information about the Illuminate's release date.
