Based on leaks, Helldivers 2's Illuminate faction will feature melee and ranged enemies, each with their own unique abilities. There will allegedly be a magic wielder, the Adept, who throws the Void Flame to deal damage.

While the community seems very certain they'll show up, nobody on the creative team has actually said that they will be the third of the Helldivers 2 factions. This actually means that the Illuminate coming to the game is technically still just rumour, and isn't necessarily guaranteed to happen.

Helldivers 2's new enemies include the Impaler, Spore Charger, Terminid Alpha Commander and a Rocket Tank, all added as part of the most recent update.
