ZIMMERMAN, Geneva R. AUFULDISH, Virginia Rose known as Rosie or Ginny to her family and friends, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008 at 7:30 in the morning at Sunrise of Willoughby where she has lived since March, 2004. Virginia Rose Mattingly was born December 30, 1909 in St. Joseph, Kentucky and lived on a farm until moving to Louisville, Kentucky.

The family moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1926 where she helped raise her four younger sisters. She graduated from Julienne High School in 1930. Rosie met her husband, Robert Evans Aufuldish Sr. on a blind date and they were married October 14, 1933 at Corpus Christi Church in Dayton. They were married 57 years.

She lived in Dayton for 78 years. Surviving at her death Son Robert Evans Aufuldish Jr. (Lake County, Ohio Commissioner) (wife Dolores Daughter Judith Ann Bohne (husband William Grandchildren: Robert Evans Aufuldish Ill (wife Katherine), Kathleen Marie Freshour (husband Mark), Edward Gombert Aufuldish (wife, Martha), Mary Virginia, Keith) and Robert Klestinski William Bohne. Great-Grandchildren: Jacob Edward Freshour, Luke Gottfried Freshour, Mary Elizabeth Aufuldish, Emily Rose Aufuldish, Amelia Katherine Aufuldish, Katie Ann Klestinski and Alex Christopher Klestinski. She is also survived by sister Ann Tyler of Indianapolis, Indiana, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Camillus and Katherine (Robertson) Mattingly, husband, Robert, two brothers, Camillus Mattingly and Thurman Mattingly and three sisters, Theresa Costello, Geraldine Nolan and Mary Osterday. A funeral mass will be held 11:30 am Tuesday Oct. 21, 2008 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Kettering, Ohio. Visitation will be at the church from 10:30 a.m.

"Larry" 56, of Dayton, passed away Friday, October 17, 2008 at OSU Ross Heart Hospital, Columbus. Larry was born April 20, 1952 in Dayton to Alice Rosella (Kleimeier) Steck and the late George Leonard Steck. He was Vice President of Steck Manufacturing in Dayton. Larry was a volunteer at the Good Neighbor House, Dayton, member of Far Hills Community Church and currently served as an elder. He was passionate about winning souls to Christ through the Summit Bookstore at the church.

He enjoyed volunteering with Builders for Christ and helping victims of the hurricanes in New Orleans, Mississippi, Cuba, and Venezuala. After retirement, he worked for several years for Kendell Construction. He also enjoyed helping at the Wysong's Country Market. He volunteered at the Clarksville Fire Department for 30 years, serving 20 years as the assistant chief.

He enjoyed doing yard work and tending to his flowers, cooking, and spending time with his faithful dog, Tobey.
