Nutritional Philosophy

There are two basic truths about food:
1. A good diet is fundamental.
2. It all starts with food.

Each of our canine and feline fur-children is unique and exists on many levels of being. Their body is their terrain. Nourishing it properly with food, water, and exercise will provide them with an abundance of disease prevention.

Therefore, the most critical decision we make for our canine and feline fur-children is which foods we choose to feed them. Our fur-children have little choice in what they eat. They unconditionally love us, and, therefore, trust us to feed them healthy, optimally nutritious foods.

Diet should also be our first concern when looking to prevent disease, recover from illness, or deal with behavioral issues.

The most popular and most trusted brands of dog foods are purposely formulated to meet only the minimum requirements of the average fur-child. No one really wants to feed their fur-child a food that meets only the minimum requirements. Besides, what is an average fur-child, and who feels their canine and/or feline fur children are just average?

With this in mind, Magic and I set out to find the best-of-the-best in food for our canine and feline fur-children. So whether you choose the convenience of dry foods, the palatability of canned or the wholesomeness of fresh, you can count on us to carry foods containing whole meats, grains, vegetables and fruits. We will never recommend foods containing; unidentified proteins, fats or by-products, glutens, artificial preservatives (such as BHA, BHT, Ethoxyquin, or Nitrates), synthetic chemicals (such as Propylene Glycol or Propyl Gallate) or artificial colors or flavors.

Magic and I also find it beneficial to provide canine and feline fur-children with stainless steel, ceramic, or glass dishes. Plastics can cause irritations, allergies, and can leach chemicals into their food and water. Make purified water available at all times. Set aside plenty of opportunities for play and exercise, for fresh air and sunshine. Consider alternative forms of medicine: floral essences, homeopathy, herbs, T-touch, massage, acupuncture, reiki, and animal communication. And, most importantly, hugs, kisses, love time and attention. And remember, a balanced diet happens over time, not overnight!

You and your canine and feline fur-children can count on Magic and I to provide the happier, healthier alternatives that you, and they, desire.
